Saturday afternoon saw some members of the Transplant Pétanque team having a coaching session as part of the preparation for the European Transplant Games to be held in June in Arnhem, Netherlands.
The team captain was saddened to learn of the passing of Mike Marshall last year. Daymon indicated that he was introducing some team awards and would like to name one in Mike's honour, to celebrate the individual who shows tremendous sportsmanship, effort and spirit of the sport. It would be called the Mike Marshall award. Mike had a huge influence on many of the team, some of whom only started playing Pétanque at the Oxford European Games in 2022, all thanks to Mike’s encouragement. A fitting memorial for Mike
