On what was a very blustery day and temperatures having dropped several degrees from the previous days heat wave, Wallingford hosted the Thames Valley Regional Singles/Shooting Competition. Sixteen competitors from all over the region played a five game snake. Resulting in the top four players taking part in the semi/final.
Nick Zalinski from Wallingford Petanque took first place, Gordon Cochrane from Kings Head second place, Paul Hammond from Wallingford Petanque third place and Richard Button from Burghfield fourth place.
Winners of the shooting competition, first place Dean Webb from Kings Head, second place Tara Drummond Winnersh and third place went to Peter Miles from Bozo's.
